Your video interested me a great deal, I was in Dublin for a few days last september with my partner. What a wonderful country, and lovely people who made us both very welcome. We also drank plenty of Guiness. It was indeed a sobering sight though to see the Famine Memorial on the Quay, I cried a lot.

So I have just 'Googled' trevelyan to find he was a 'typical so called upper class, idiot. Wikipedia said " In Ireland he was responsible for administering famine relief, whilst in Scotland he was closely associated with the work of the Central Board for Highland Relief. His inaction and attitude towards the Irish are widely seen to have worsened the Famine, costing thousands of lives.

Typical historical underestimation I think!! He was a scumbag Imperialist!
